STATS Vice President of Global Accounts to Speak at Hashtag Sports

June 26, 2019

CHICAGO – June 26, 2019 –– STATS, the revolutionary leader in sports AI, announced that Arjan Paulussen, vice president of global accounts, will present at Hashtag Sports 2019 at The TimesCenter in New York City on Thursday, June 27.

Paulussen will present on the panel “Machines: The Missing Human Element in Sports.” The panel will focus on how new innovations like artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language generation are leading to richer sports stories faster than ever before. Joining Arjan on stage are Nick Haynes, lead data scientist at Automated Insights; Adi Joseph, editorial director and managing editor at CBS Sports; and Barry Bedlan, director of sports products at The Associated Press. Seth Everett, announcer at iHeartMedia, will moderate the panel.

“Sports providers are adapting to the new modern fan, who live in an on-demand economy that affords them personalized content on their terms,” Paulussen said. “Now more than ever, it is vital that broadcasters, technology companies and teams reach fans on the platforms they engage with – whether delivered through push notification, voice-assistance or in-venue digital signage. Technological innovations are having a profound impact on the way we can communicate and disseminate in-depth information quickly. I look forward to discussing how STATS and our partners are helping the industry evolve to provide a new fan experience.”
