X June 2026 | LONDON, UK AND LEVERKUSEN, GERMANY – Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen has extended and expanded its collaboration with Stats Perform to integrate Opta Vision data across its recruitment and match analysis operations.
Opta Vision combines Opta’s on-ball event data with player tracking data to deliver deeper insight into on-field performance. In addition to fully synchronised event, tracking and aggregated fitness data, Opta Vision incorporates a range of AI-enriched metrics that help clubs identify longer-term performance tendencies, both in and out of possession.
Available team-level metrics include Shape Analysis and Phases of Play, supported by a range of collective and individual player metrics including Off-Ball Runs, Pass Predictions, Pressure Intensity and Line-Breaking Passes. Together, these insights give analysts, scouts and technical staff a more detailed view of how players and teams perform within different tactical contexts.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will use Opta Vision data from multiple competitions around the world, enabling its recruitment team to work from a more consistent data foundation across the leagues and markets most relevant to its player profiling and evaluation processes. The dataset will also support the club’s ability to develop its own physical and tactical metrics, aligned to internal performance KPIs, for use across recruitment and pre- and post-match analysis.
By integrating Opta Vision into its wider football analysis infrastructure, Bayer 04 Leverkusen will be able to connect recruitment and match analysis workflows more closely, supporting faster, more consistent and better-informed decision-making across the club.
