To celebrate Opta’s 30th anniversary, Stats Perform brought together some of the brightest minds in football for the 2026 OptaJoe Quiz, with teams representing leading leagues, broadcasters, publishers, clubs and agencies from across the UK sports industry.
The quiz, won by the in-house stats team at Sky Sports, utilised Opta’s comprehensive archive of historical football data to provide even the most experienced industry professionals with questions that would put their football trivia knowledge to the ultimate test.
Now we want to give you the opportunity to see just how much you know about the beautiful game, courtesy of a special digital version of the quiz to mark Opta’s 30th anniversary.

The digital quiz comprises 50 questions split across eight themed rounds, including rounds dedicated to Managers, Major European Finals and 1996, the year Opta first started capturing data from the Premier League.
And to make things a little easier, we’ve made each question multiple choice - a luxury which was not enjoyed by the competitors on the quiz night itself.
