CHICAGO – June 21, 2016 – STATS LLC, the world’s leading sports technology company, will deliver innovative performance analysis solutions to the Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR), the governing body for rugby union in Argentina.
As part of the agreement, STATS will provide UAR with its Gamelens™, Gameplan™ and Rugby Portal™ systems. Gamelens is an advanced self-coding platform that enables responsive live analysis, while Gameplan supports enhanced performance communication, and Rugby Portal presents a global video and reporting database. In combination, these platforms provide UAR with a full suite of analysis systems, improving the speed and depth of data available to its national teams as well as enhancing the communication of performance information.

Ranked fifth in the IRB World Rankings, the Argentine national team, Los Pumas, reached the semi-final stage of the 2007 and 2015 Rugby World Cups, finishing third in 2007 and fourth in 2015. The Pumas 7s Team has also qualified for the Olympics this year where rugby will be represented for the first time since Athens 1896.
UAR will use STATS technology for all its elite national teams to enhance match preparation and performance review processes. This will give coaches, analysts and players access to a wide range of insights designed to deliver competitive advantage on the field.
